Frequently Asked Questions:
Does PearMD accept insurance?
PearMD operates on a Direct Primary Care model, which means we do not bill insurance for our services. However, we accept certain insurance plans for other services. Please contact our office to inquire about which insurance plans are accepted.
What if I don’t have insurance?
No problem! PearMD’s Direct Primary Care model is designed to provide quality care without requiring insurance. Many of our patients find that our transparent pricing and direct contracts offer more cost-effective solutions for medications, labs, and imaging services.
What if I need care outside of regular hours?
At PearMD, your health is our priority. We offer access to your doctor for urgent issues outside of regular hours. We also strive to accommodate urgent needs promptly, ensuring you receive care when you need it most.
Will I benefit from PearMD if I’m seldom sick?
Absolutely. Our model focuses on proactive health management, which is beneficial even if you don’t visit the doctor often. Regular check-ups and personalized care help maintain your overall well-being.
Can I submit charges to my insurance company?
Yes, PearMD provides superbills for those who wish to submit
charges to their FSA/HSA accounts or request out-of-network reimbursement from their insurance plan. However, we should note that most standard insurance plans do not cover DPC membership fees. Superbills are available upon request — simply contact our office at 404-490-0754 or staff@pearmd.com
